A jealous man punched his friend to death for ‘poking’ his girlfriend on Facebook.

Scott Humphrey flipped out and killed Richard Rovetto following an argument after a stag do.

Humphrey, 27, accused Mr Rovetto of contacting his girlfriend by poking her on the website.

He said: ‘If you’re such a good friend why did you poke my missus?’

When the taxi they were in pulled over, Humphrey hit Mr Rovetto in the face, starting a nose bleed, then hit him again which knocked him over, banging his head on the pavement.

Mr Rovetto died from his injuries hours later.
